About me

If you want to sell your company, it's not only about the price. It's about who – after you – will carry the responsibility for your employees, your customers, for what you've built over 10, 20, 30 or 40 years.

I'm Nick Herbig, originally from Heidelberg, now based in Hamburg. For over four years I was at DealCircle, one of the leading M&A technology platforms in the DACH region, where I accompanied transaction processes on both sides of the table – from €1M to €100M enterprise value. I've seen which sale processes run cleanly and which fail because of the wrong buyers. And I know the logic by which investment committees in private equity firms actually decide, because I spoke with them every day.

SourcingClub is the consequence of that experience. I work exclusively with owner-led companies in the DACH region, typically €1 to €10 million EBITDA and 10 to 300 employees. The focus is on fragmented mid-market sectors in which specialized investment firms are systematically building platforms.

No platform, no portal, no anonymous longlist. Instead, a personal bridge between your company and the one buyer who fits strategically, culturally, and financially. Concretely: a buyer who continues your business, takes over your team, and pays a fair price. Not the first interested party who happens to call.

By 2028, in Germany alone, around 150,000 companies will be without a clear successor. Most will end up sold to the first serious buyer who comes along – or not at all. For owners, this is an economic and, far more importantly, a personal problem. That's exactly the gap I close.
